Why Animas High

I chose Animas, because it was a project based school and I know that I excel better with this type of learning. I was home schooled up until 8th grade which at the time I went to Mountain Middle for my 8th grade year. Throughout my experiences at Mountain I realized that I couldn't deal with going to a more traditional school. With this information I knew immediately that at DHS I wouldn't succeed or be happy. After knowing this I had no second thoughts about which school was for me. This choice definitely paid off, because I’m currently enjoying the Animas culture. Mountain helped me understand that I work best in project based schools, so after hearing about Animas from one of my friends I had no doubts about wanting my high school career to be one with strong student teacher relations. Animas has been everything I need to excel in my learning.
